How do you grow and develop a new generation that has spent nearly as much time playing video games as they’ve spent in school? That’s the question I’ll address in my DevLearn session in Las Vegas next month. I’ll be demonstrating some of our latest learning games, online video, and virtual reality learning experiences. Watch a video preview of my talk here.
It’s been a busy year at the Gronstedt Group. We developed a series of video-simulations that have helped transform a global sales organization. We shot vertical video dramatizations for mobile reinforcement of management skills. And, we’re pioneering 3D immersive virtual reality experiences to develop customer empathy. A growing body of research proves the effectiveness of these approaches:
- Video games are 14% more successful than traditional learning, according to a meta-study of 65 studies.
- Vertical video has 9 times higher viewership than horizontal on the phone, according to research by Snapchat.
- Learners retain 33% more from virtual reality than standard video, according to Stanford research.
